We offer all our services with your comfort in mind. So, we have TVs and headphones, as well as nitrous oxide (laughing gas). We are a family restorative practice with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. For many people, the first step toward a better smile is home whitening. We can then add bonded composite or porcelain veneers to reshape, whiten, and straighten your teeth. This is instant adult orthodontics. Instead of two or three years, this can take only two weeks! As an option to silver amalgam, we also offer white fillings, both direct one visit composite and porcelain. They both look great and actually strengthen the teeth, something silver/mercury amalgam won’t do.

We provide personalized care to families with an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry. We know a bright, attractive smile is an important part of looking and feeling good. We pride ourselves on providing the newest and finest techniques in dental care. We will treat you as family.

Tooth Colored Fillings - Posterior Composite Restorations
White Fillings

This type of material replaces silver amalgam. They look great, bond to, and reinforce the tooth. They require less reduction (drilling), and have decreased leakage between the tooth and the filling. Unlike a silver amalgam, there is no mercury used and are less cold sensitive.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers

The placement of six porcelain veneers greatly enhances the contour, shade, and symmetry of the teeth. Note the realism and the healthy tissue response. The entire front surface of the tooth is covered with a custom lab-fabricated 0.5mm veneer of porcelain.

Closing Gaps and Spaces

Actor Terry Thomas had it. Model Lauren Hutton and comedian David Letterman have it. But famous people not withstanding, gaps between front teeth are not always welcome. These spaces can be minimized by the direct application of adhesive dental materials. These restorations last from three to seven years without special attention.

Cast Gold Inlays and Onlays

The advantages of this technique are: minimal tooth reduction, restored function and greater durability. The disadvantages are: poor dental cosmetics and cost. For restorative situations involving broken and damaged teeth where function and durability requirements exceed cosmetic requirements, the cast gold inlay and onlay restorations remain the treatment of choice.

Full Coverage Porcelain and Porcelain Fused-To-Metal Crowns, Porcelain Fused-To-Metal Fixed Bridge
Porcelain Crowns

The advantages are: restored function, durability and cosmetics. The disadvantages are: tooth reduction and cost.

When teeth are missing, the conventional porcelain fused-to-metal fixed bridge is most often the treatment of choice. These bridge restorations are permanently fixed (cemented) in place and offer the patient long-term function, durability, and life-like cosmetics.

Sterlization

Infection control is one of our highest priorities. We use the same infection control procedures for every patient throughout our office. These safeguards include:
  • Wearing gloves and masks for patient treatment.
  • Sterilizing and disinfecting dental instruments after each use.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces and equipment in the treatment room.
  • Disposing of needles and other sharp items in special containers.
  • Proper disposal of waste items and contaminated materials.

Appointments

You may schedule a visit by calling our office at (503) 661-2828. When you make an appointment with us, we are reserving a specific time for you. We will do our best to be punctual, and we kindly request that you provide us the same courtesy.

If an appointment has to be changed, please give us as much notice as possible so that someone else may use your time. To avoid charging you for a broken appointment fee, we require a notice of at least 24 business hours.

Fees, Payments & Insurance

In an effort to keep dental costs down while maintaining a high level of professional care, we have established the following payment plans:
  • For payment in full at time of service with cash or check, receive an 10% courtesy fee reduction for all treatments, and 8% fee reduction for payments by credit card.
  • For senior citizens we provide a 10% courtesy fee reduction.
  • For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard.
  • 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year-no interest loans are available through Norwest Financial, on approved credit.

Our knowledgeable claims staff will make every attempt to help you receive the maximum benefit from your insurance company. Please be aware that most insurance companies will not cover all dental costs, but they may pay for fixed allowances for certain procedures or pay a percentage of the total charges. Any costs not covered by your insurance will be your responsibility
